Our Aim

To support and prepare students, through a holistic approach, to identify a suitable career choice, an understanding of the workforce develop  employability skills through a rigorous Secondary School Career Guidance Program.

Introduction

IAS delivers an American Curriculum (California content standards) that offers learning, inclusive yet diversified standards-based system where importance given to the personal development of each child. There are significant factors that define IAS and make it a unique and exceptional learning center.

We provide both students and parents with information on courses offered at IAS and to pave the pathway for successful planning for high school and beyond.

By focusing on the needs of every student, school counselors will meet with both the parents and students to collaboratively plan a program of study for each child based on his/her college and or career interest leading to a successful completion of studies at school and be prepared to transition to college and or career pathway. Selecting relevant courses based on student interest (College or Career related) paves the pathway for them to buy knowledge of different subjects, develop 21st Century skills and build character, leadership skills, social cohesion and to become a creative, responsible citizen.

Objective

The decisions that young people make at school have a big impact on their lives – affecting not just their further education, training or employment, but also their social lives, finances and health outcomes. A key function of secondary schools is to prepare students to transition successfully toward a lucrative career path. This involves providing them with opportunities to build their general capabilities, support their interests and aspirations, and help them to make informed decisions about their subject choices and pathways. The programme intents to enhance our students’ skill set to attain a tertiary level education and eventually conquer the future workforce.
